SS Rajamouli’s next project has once again become a topic of discussion in the South Indian film industry. The filmmaker is currently concentrating on Varanasi, his ambitious adventure film with Mahesh Babu. The project is reportedly moving towards the final stages of filming, with only some patchwork remaining. However, the extensive VFX, post-production and promotional work are expected to keep Rajamouli occupied for several more months.
Meanwhile, during the promotions of Don’t Trouble the Trouble, Rajamouli was asked about the possibility of making a film with Suriya. The director responded that a collaboration between the two would certainly result in a special film. Although there has been speculation about a Rajamouli-Suriya project for some time, his latest comments have renewed interest in the possibility. Suriya is currently working on multiple projects and has a strong presence across South Indian markets. However, there is no official confirmation that he will be Rajamouli’s next lead actor. Fans may have to wait for an official announcement to know whether the proposed collaboration will move forward.
