After delivering the pan-India blockbuster Hanuman, Prasanth Varma quickly announced Jai HanuMan, raising massive expectations. The film grew even bigger when Mythri Movie Makers joined hands and Kantara star Rishab Shetty came on board. But now, Varma is facing a new wave of pressure. His habit of taking advances from multiple producers and not completing earlier commitments has backfired. Complaints have already reached the Producers Council and the Film Chamber. And just when things couldn’t get tougher, Rajamouli entered the scene. The glimpse of Varanasi made one thing clear -- the film is deeply rooted in the Ramayana and heavily centered around Lord Hanuman. With a confirmed Summer 2027 release, the film’s scale is enormous. If Jai HanuMan doesn’t hit the screens before Varanasi, it risks being completely overshadowed.
At this point, speeding up production is not optional --- it’s essential for the survival of the franchise. The big industry question right now is: “Can Prasanth Varma release Jai HanuMan before Rajamouli’s Varanasi storms the box office?”
