Will Mega Fans’ Wait End Today?

Rajinikanth’s much awaited action film Jailer 2 is set to hit theatres on October 15, 2026, amid high expectations. Directed by Nelson Dilipkumar and produced by Sun Pictures, the sequel is gearing up for its Telugu pre-release event today in Hyderabad. The film’s team, excluding Rajinikanth, is expected to attend the event, where music composer Anirudh Ravichander will deliver a live performance.

Anirudh’s fans are also eager to know whether he will compose the music for RC17, which marks the reunion of director Sukumar and actor Ram Charan. If confirmed, the project would bring Anirudh back to a film featuring a Mega hero nearly eight years after Agnyaathavaasi, whose soundtrack remains popular among audiences. RC17 is reportedly likely to have its formal launch on Dussehra. Mythri Movie Makers is backing the project, while details about the remaining cast and crew are yet to be announced. Fans will be watching to see whether Anirudh shares an update at today’s event.
