After the massive success of K.G.F: Chapter 2, Yash is gearing up for his next big action film Toxic, directed by Geetu Mohandas. The film has already faced one delay, moving from March to June 4. Now, fresh reports suggest that the release might be postponed again, creating concern among fans. Since this is Yash’s first full-length film after KGF 2, expectations are very high across the country.
The teaser and first look of Toxic received a strong response, with Yash appearing in a stylish and intense new look. However, the film is reportedly still under production, with some important scenes yet to be completed. This delay in shooting and post-production work is said to be one of the main reasons for the possible postponement. At the same time, discussions around the film’s OTT deal have also become a hot topic.
According to industry talk, the makers are asking for around ₹250 crore for digital rights, while OTT platforms are not willing to go beyond ₹110 crore. This gap has delayed the deal. It is also said that Yash prefers a “theatre-first” approach and is not keen on showing the film in advance to OTT platforms. Because of this, streaming companies are hesitant to invest such a huge amount without previewing the content. Though there is no official confirmation yet, reports suggest that the June release may be difficult and fans are eagerly waiting for clarity on the final release date.
