Not everyone in the film industry has their own independent thinking. Many times, people take decisions based on friends’ words, advice from trusted people, or suggestions from their circle. Sometimes it works in their favor, sometimes it doesn’t.
In Tollywood, there is a rising actress who has only done notable films so far, but consistent big opportunities haven’t come her way yet. To show that she has plenty of glamour content, she often uploads lots of glamorous photos on Instagram. She poses smartly, flaunting her beauty. Even then, big opportunities haven’t been knocking for her. At such a time, she got a chance to play the heroine in a film. But the story had three heroines. Still, she agreed because it was a good role, a good story, a good banner, and overall very promising.
However, soon her circle of people (friends/advisers) got in touch with her. They asked what she was doing and gave long explanations, even though she had already said yes to the movie. They pressured her, asking if she would do the film under that producer or banner, and kept brainwashing her. As a result, she called the producer innocently, saying “everyone is saying this, so…” and effectively backed out from the role. The heroine herself felt she was losing a good opportunity. The producer, on the other hand, is reportedly very annoyed at the people who brainwashed her and cost him this chance.
