However, the film was shelved during its pre-production stage due to budget-related challenges. The ambitious period drama has now returned to the spotlight, with fresh reports suggesting that Bollywood superstar Salman Khan may headline the project.

According to industry buzz, Salman Khan has shown interest in playing Karna and is believed to have given a positive response to the makers. Although no official confirmation has been issued, the speculation has created excitement among fans. If the project materialises, Salman will be seen portraying one of the most iconic characters from the Mahabharata, joining the growing list of stars taking on legendary mythological roles.
