The reunion of Mega Power Star Ram Charan and pan-India director Sukumar has created massive excitement in Tollywood. After the industry hit Rangasthalam, expectations are sky-high for their new project, currently referred to as RC17. Industry buzz suggests it will be a high-budget action drama made in two parts, with a rural backdrop, intense action and strong emotions. Many believe Sukumar is aiming to take this film beyond the impact of Rangasthalam.
After completing Peddi, Ram Charan is expected to focus fully on RC17. Shooting may begin by the end of this year or early next year. The biggest talking point right now is the heroine for RC17. Names like Anupama Parameswaran and Samantha have been discussed, but Rashmika Mandanna’s name is creating the strongest buzz, especially after her success with the Pushpa series. If finalized, it would be her third film with Sukumar and her first pairing with Ram Charan. Janhvi Kapoor is also said to be under consideration, but there is no official confirmation yet.
Meanwhile, Ram Charan is busy with his rural sports action drama Peddi. The song “Chikiri Chikiri” has already gone viral with huge views and the second song is expected around February 14 or 15. The film features music by A. R. Rahman, with Johnny Master’s choreography expected to be a major highlight. Janhvi Kapoor plays the female lead, while Shiv Rajkumar and Jagapathi Babu appear in key roles. Due to shooting delays, the makers have postponed the release and officially announced April 30, 2026, as the worldwide release date.
