A number of prominent actresses, including Tamannaah, Samantha, and Kajal Aggarwal, have adopted special songs, which have become a recurrent theme in Indian cinema in recent years. Rashmika Mandanna's position on the subject has garnered attention following her recent appearance on Jagapathi Babu's talk show Jayammu Nischayammu Raa, whereas other celebrities would rather avoid such performances. The actress, who is well-known throughout India, stated that she would only accept special songs in certain situations and is not opposed to performing them.
Although she declined to reveal their identities, Rashmika disclosed that she has a list of four directors for whom she would be happy to sing a special song. The audience was left wondering who those filmmakers might be after her lighthearted but firm response. Rashmika revealed that she is eager to push her limits as an actor and that she wants to play darker and more complicated roles in addition to music and dance numbers. She said, "I don't mind taking up a negative role if the story demands," indicating her willingness to depart from her typically upbeat, girl-next-door persona.
Adding to the mystery, industry rumors indicate that Rashmika and Allu Arjun may collaborate once more on director Atlee's next science fiction film, in which she might portray a villain. Fans already have high expectations for their possible reunion following the Pushpa franchise. With five releases in 2025 Chhaava, Sikandar, Kuberaa, Thamma, and The Girlfriend which garnered her critical acclaim, Rashmika has had a busy but fruitful year in her career. Her next projects are the action drama Cocktail 2 in Hindi and Mysaa in Telugu, which focuses on women and is expected to demonstrate yet another aspect of her versatility.
