Director Prasanth Varma appears to be following a new strategy to expand his cinematic universe at a faster pace. Instead of directing every film within the Prasanth Varma Cinematic Universe himself, he is reportedly developing the stories, characters and world while handing over directorial responsibilities to other filmmakers. This approach could allow multiple stories to move forward simultaneously and help the universe grow faster. Films such as ‘Mahakali’, ‘Adhira’ and ‘Zombie Reddy 2’ are currently among the projects being discussed as part of the universe.
‘Mahakali’ features Bhoomi Shetty in the title role and is being directed by Pooja Kolluru, with Prasanth Varma serving as the showrunner. ‘Adhira’ features Kalyan Dasari as a superhero and S.J. Suryah as the antagonist, with Sharan Koppishetty directing the film. ‘Zombie Reddy 2’ is being directed by Supreeth Varma, with Teja Sajja returning as the lead. Shanaya Kapoor is also set to make her Telugu debut with the film. However, Prasanth Varma himself is directing ‘Jai Hanuman’, which features Rishab Shetty as Lord Hanuman and has generated significant anticipation among moviegoers.
