Prabhas fans are heavily criticizing lyricist Ramajogayya Sastry, saying that he wrote weak lyrics for the first song of Prabhas’ “The Raja Saab”. Adding to the outrage, his tweet saying “What is it that we don’t have?” triggered even more anger. The unclear nature of his tweet also irritated netizens.
Netizens slammed him with comments like— “Learn to be humble,” “Is this a Telugu song? or a Hindi song?”, “If the song becomes a hit, you take the credit, but if it fails, you blame the director’s vision?” Some even questioned his variation and pointed out that the song contains very few Telugu lines.
This is not Ramajogayya Sastry’s first controversy. Earlier, he faced trolling after a tweet went viral in which he seemingly referred to Mahesh Babu fans as “dogs”. Later, his comment “If everyone does their own job, the result will be divine” was presumed by many as an indirect dig at the Mega camp. Even though there were talks that the camp was unhappy, they did not make any public statement. While those issues were seen as minor disagreements, this time the criticism is directed entirely at his professional work. With sky-high expectations on Prabhas’ film, fans feel that Ramajogayya Sastry should put in more effort and deliver better-quality lyrics.
