

Pan-India star Prabhas is playing the lead role in The Raja Saab, directed by Maruthi. Known mostly for action films, Prabhas is trying a different style with this horror-comedy movie, bringing back his vintage charm. The film has already created strong buzz in the industry and is set for a worldwide release on January 9 as a Sankranti special. With growing excitement, details about the film’s budget and cast remuneration have become a hot topic.
The movie is produced by People Media Factory and Ivy Entertainment, with TG Vishwa Prasad, Vivek Kuchibhotla and Ishan Saksena as producers. Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt plays an important role. Malavika Mohanan, Nidhhi Agerwal and Riddhi Kumar are the female leads. The supporting cast includes Boman Irani, Zarina Wahab, Samuthirakani, Vennela Kishore, Brahmanandam, Satya, Yogi Babu and Saptagiri. The music is composed by Thaman, cinematography is by Karthik Palani and editing is handled by Kotagiri Venkateswara Rao. The total budget of the film is said to be around ₹450 crores.
According to trade sources, Prabhas has reportedly taken ₹100 crores as remuneration for The Raja Saab. After Baahubali, his salary had increased, but it is believed he reduced it after Adipurush. There are also talks that he lowered his fee to support People Media Factory, which faced losses earlier. Director Maruthi is said to have received around ₹18 crores, while Sanjay Dutt earned ₹6 crores. Boman Irani and Malavika Mohanan reportedly took ₹2 crores each, Riddhi Kumar ₹3 crores and Nidhhi Agerwal ₹1.5 crores. However, these figures are still unofficial.
