The upcoming film starring Jr NTR and directed by Trivikram Srinivas has landed in controversy after Naam Tamilar Katchi (NTK) chief Seeman objected to the reported portrayal of Lord Murugan (Subrahmanya). Seeman alleged that the film depicts Lord Murugan, whom Tamils revere as their beloved deity, as a deity associated with North Andhra, and said such a portrayal hurts Tamil sentiments.
Warning that the issue could escalate, Seeman demanded that the makers halt the film immediately. He claimed there is historical evidence identifying Lord Subrahmanya with Tamil Nadu and cautioned that NTK would intensify protests if the filmmakers proceed without addressing their concerns. However, the filmmakers have not officially responded to these allegations so far.
