There is some disappointing news for fans of Pawan Kalyan. His latest film “Ustaad Bhagat Singh”, directed by Harish Shankar, is ready for release this month. Initially, the movie was scheduled to release on March 26, but the makers later announced that it would hit theatres earlier on March 19 as a Ugadi special. However, the team has reportedly stepped back from the plan of holding premiere shows before the release.
This film marks the reunion of Pawan Kalyan and Harish Shankar after the blockbuster “Gabbar Singh”. Although the project was announced long ago, the shooting was completed only at the end of last year. The makers first planned to hold premiere shows on the night of March 18. But after requests from distributors, they changed the plan and decided to begin regular shows only from 7 AM on March 19.
There is also discussion that the current buzz around the film may have influenced this decision. Even though two songs from the movie have been released, they did not create a big impact. Many viewers may decide whether to watch the film only after seeing the trailer. At the same time, the dubbed film “Dhurandhar 2” is getting good attention in the Telugu states. Its premiere shows will start on March 18 at 5 PM across the country and ticket bookings have already opened. Hyderabad is seeing strong ticket sales compared to other cities. Since the movie has a runtime of nearly four hours, some feel that audience interest might shift after watching its premieres. Because of these factors, the makers of “Ustaad Bhagat Singh” may have decided not to take the risk of holding premiere shows.
