Nikhil’s Film ‘Swayambhu’ Releasing in Theatres This April..

Actor Nikhil’s latest film ‘Swayambhu’, directed by Bharath Krishnamachari, has been under production for quite some time. Although the makers earlier announced a February release, the film faced delays due to its large scale, period action backdrop and extensive CGI work.

Now, there is some clarity regarding the release. As per the latest buzz, ‘Swayambhu’ is expected to hit theatres in April. The non-theatrical business is currently in the final stages, and once all agreements are completed, the makers will officially announce the release date.

Made on a budget of over ₹70 crore, the team is expecting around ₹50 crore from non-theatrical rights. Due to this, the release date will depend largely on the availability of OTT platforms. With fewer major releases lined up this summer, April seems to be a suitable window for the film. Once the OTT deal is locked, the makers are planning to begin pan-India promotions.
