Tollywood King Akkineni Nagarjuna is once again in the spotlight with his landmark 100th film, currently being made under the working title “King 100”. The movie is progressing rapidly, directed by Tamil filmmaker Ra. Karthik and produced by Nagarjuna himself. Even without an official announcement, the silent shoot has already created strong buzz and raised curiosity among fans.
The film is expected to feature a unique experiment rarely seen in Tollywood. Reports suggest that advanced de-aging technology will be used to portray Nagarjuna in multiple age phases, from a 25-year-old youth to a 60-year-old man. Along with this, he is said to be playing dual roles, possibly as father and son, appearing in different looks that reflect various stages of life. The makers are planning high-quality visuals at a Hollywood level, combined with a story that balances action and emotions.
On the casting front, veteran actress Tabu is confirmed to play a key role, reuniting with Nagarjuna after nearly three decades. Actress Aishwarya Rajesh is also rumored to be part of the film, along with Susmita Bhat in another important role. Backed by Annapurna Studios with music by Devi Sri Prasad, the film is shaping up as a commercial entertainer. The makers are planning to release it as a Dasara 2026 special, though fans are eagerly waiting for an official announcement.
