Mrunal Thakur in a Special Song with Ram Charan?

The upcoming film Peddhi, starring Ram Charan, is expected to release in theatres next month. As the shooting is still going on, there were rumors that the release might get delayed. However, the makers recently announced that overseas bookings will open on Ram Charan’s birthday, which indirectly confirms that the movie will release as planned.

Another topic that created curiosity among fans is the special item song in the film. Earlier, names like Pooja Hegde, Ayesha Khan and Mrunal Thakur were rumored for the song. Since the shooting for the song was pending, the makers had not revealed the final choice. Now, reports suggest that Mrunal Thakur has been selected to perform the special song.

Sources say Mrunal Thakur will stay in Hyderabad for a few days to take part in the promotions of her upcoming film Dacoit and also shoot for the song in Peddhi. There are also reports that Janhvi Kapoor may appear briefly in the song along with Ram Charan and Mrunal Thakur. Directed by Buchi Babu Sana, the movie is a village-based sports drama. It also features Shiva Rajkumar and Jagapathi Babu in important roles, with music composed by A. R. Rahman. Two songs from the movie have already been released and both have become big hits.
