Mahesh Babu has been completely committed to SS Rajamouli’s Varanasi, reportedly dedicating several years to the ambitious project without taking up another release. With his shooting schedule expected to conclude by October, the superstar may have a considerable window before the film’s promotional campaign begins in March 2027. This has reportedly prompted him to explore two projects that could potentially go on floors back-to-back.
Several prominent production houses, including Mythri Movie Makers, Asian Suniel, Dil Raju’s banner, KVN Productions and Hombale Films, are said to have met Mahesh Babu with different proposals. However, none of the projects has been officially locked so far. The major discussion is reportedly whether Mahesh should collaborate with a Telugu filmmaker or opt for a director with a wider pan-Indian appeal. Several names are being discussed, but many established filmmakers are currently committed to other projects. An official announcement regarding Mahesh Babu’s next films is expected once the ongoing discussions reach clarity.
