Mahesh Babu Wraps Varanasi Shoot

Superstar Mahesh Babu has reportedly completed his major portions of shooting for ‘Varanasi’, the highly anticipated film directed by S.S. Rajamouli. After dedicating more than two years to the project, Mahesh has wrapped his portions, including his introduction episode, and has also begun dubbing for the film. More than 90% of the overall shoot has reportedly been completed, with the remaining patchwork expected to be wrapped up soon.

With the shoot nearing completion, Rajamouli is expected to focus more intensely on post-production activities, including editing, visual effects and background score work. The film stars Priyanka Chopra Jonas as the female lead and Prithviraj Sukumaran as Kumbha, with music by M.M. Keeravani. ‘Varanasi’ is being mounted as a large-scale action-adventure with mythological and science-fiction elements and is scheduled for a worldwide theatrical release on April 7, 2027.
