Reports surrounding the censor process of Superstar Rajinikanth’s ‘Jailer 2’ have sparked interest among fans. According to the latest industry reports, censor officials have reportedly raised objections to a violent sequence in the film and suggested its removal. The scene is said to show a man being beheaded, followed by the severed head being placed on a dining table. There is also speculation that director Nelson Dilipkumar wants to retain the sequence. However, the filmmakers have not officially confirmed these reports.
The reported scene could have a bearing on the film’s certification, leading to discussions over whether it should be retained or removed. Some reports had also claimed that Rajinikanth wanted the scene removed in order to retain a U/A certificate. However, the actor’s publicist previously dismissed reports about the film’s censor certification and said that official updates would be provided by the production house. Therefore, the reported cuts, certification details and discussions surrounding the particular scene should be treated as unconfirmed until an official announcement is made.
