Kanchana 4 - Mounting Pressure on Lawrence?

Raghava Lawrence’s upcoming horror franchise film ‘Kanchana 4’ has been carrying high expectations from the beginning. The project, which began after ‘Jigarthanda Double X’, is reportedly being mounted on a much larger scale than its predecessors. With actors such as Pooja Hegde, Nora Fatehi and Nayanthara associated with the film, the makers are said to be working to enhance the story and production values in line with the franchise’s popularity.

However, reports that nearly 80 days of shooting are still pending even after almost two years since production began have sparked discussion. Industry circles are reportedly suggesting that the prolonged schedule could significantly increase the film’s production costs, adding to the financial burden on the producers. With the extended shoot, questions are also being raised over whether the film can make it to theatres during the upcoming summer. The makers are yet to officially clarify the reports.
