Kalki 2 Gears Up for a Grand Shoot

Following the blockbuster success of Kalki 2898 AD, Prabhas and director Nag Ashwin are gearing up for its much-awaited sequel, Kalki 2. The makers have already completed key scenes featuring Amitabh Bachchan and are now preparing for the regular shoot. In a recent interview, Nag Ashwin revealed that Prabhas’ dates have been locked and a major shooting schedule is planned from the third week of October. The sequel is expected to feature major sequences involving Kamal Haasan as Yaskin, Amitabh Bachchan as Ashwatthama and Prabhas as Bhairava.

According to Nag Ashwin’s vision, filming is expected to wrap up by mid-2027, followed by an extensive VFX process. Meanwhile, reports suggest that Sai Pallavi could be part of the film in a powerful role that may play a key part in the story, with an official announcement from Vyjayanthi Movies possibly arriving in October. The first instalment reportedly earned more than ₹1,100 crore worldwide, and the sequel is being planned on an even larger scale with enhanced visuals, technology and emotional depth.
