Tamil superstar and Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Vijay's final film before entering full time politics, Jana nayagan, has reportedly completed its final censor process. A nine member CBFC panel reviewed the film on June 30 and suggested several cuts and muted scenes while recommending an 'A' certificate. The board also reportedly asked the makers to change the name of actress Priyamani's character.
The release date is yet to be finalized, with distributors reportedly preferring July 23, while OTT platforms are pushing for July 16. Meanwhile, reports claiming Vijay's title card will appear as "CM Vijay" instead of "Thalapathy Vijay" have gone viral, exciting fans. Directed by H. Vinoth, the film also stars Pooja Hegde and Mamitha Baiju.
