Jailer 2 Release Delay Buzz: Rajinikanth-Nelson Film Faces Uncertainty

Superstar Rajinikanth and director Nelson Dilipkumar’s much-awaited Jailer 2 is currently surrounded by speculation regarding its release date. The makers had earlier announced October 15 as the worldwide theatrical release date, but fresh reports from Chennai suggest that the film may not arrive on the scheduled date. Although Sun Pictures has not officially confirmed any change, another film has reportedly locked the October 16 slot, adding fuel to the postponement buzz.

The reported delay is said to be linked to re-shoots, with Nelson making changes to certain scenes. The film’s business deals are also reportedly yet to be completed, while the makers are said to be seeking high prices for the Telugu rights. With just 45 days remaining for the announced release, the team would need to speed up promotions and post-production activities. The mixed response to the recently released Purnaa special song has also become a talking point. An official clarification from Sun Pictures is now awaited.
