‘Jailer 2’ Likely Eyeing Vinayaka Chavithi Release!

The massive success of Superstar Rajinikanth’s ‘Jailer’ at the box office continues to fuel excitement for its sequel, ‘Jailer 2’. Directed once again by Nelson Dilipkumar, the upcoming action entertainer is said to feature a grander storyline packed with style, emotion and high-voltage action. Reports suggest that the film has already completed shooting and is currently progressing through post-production work at a rapid pace.

Although the makers initially planned a summer release, the film was reportedly postponed due to production-related reasons. Industry buzz now indicates that the makers are targeting a grand release during the Vinayaka Chavithi holiday season, with September 10 or 11 being considered as possible release dates. With Rajinikanth, Nelson and Anirudh Ravichander reuniting after the blockbuster success of the first part, expectations are soaring among fans. The film also stars Shiv Rajkumar, Mohanlal, S.J. Suryah, Ramya Krishnan, Mirnaa Menon and Yogi Babu in key roles.
