Many top actors from the South Indian film industry have entered politics after successful movie careers - from M.G. Ramachandran in Tamil cinema to Pawan Kalyan in Telugu. Following that legacy, Thalapathy Vijay has also built a massive reputation in Tamil cinema and later launched his own political party, TVK (Tamizhaga Vettri Kazhagam). He even announced that his party would contest all constituencies in the upcoming elections this year.
However, Vijay’s personal life has recently taken a shocking turn. His wife, Sangeetha, reportedly filed a case against him, claiming that Vijay has been living with another actress for years and has been ignoring her and their children. She demanded a divorce, saying he had completely distanced himself from the family. This unexpected controversy has left Vijay confused about whether to focus on his political activities or deal with the divorce case.
Reports from Tamil Nadu suggest that Chief Minister M.K. Stalin might have indirectly influenced Sangeetha to file the case, aiming to politically weaken Vijay. It’s also rumored that Vijay’s movie Jananayagan, which was supposed to release during Sankranti, was delayed because of political interference in the censor process. With all this pressure, Vijay is said to be reconsidering his political future. Depending on how the upcoming elections turn out, he may decide whether to continue his party or return fully to films and his luxurious lifestyle.
