Release dates have become the hottest topic in Tollywood right now. Fans are eagerly waiting for the big films coming from the Mega family. Pawan Kalyan’s Ustaad Bhagat Singh is set to release on March 26, while Ram Charan’s Peddi will hit theatres on April 30. Mega fans are happy as the two films won’t clash. Now, everyone’s attention is on Megastar Chiranjeevi’s grand socio-fantasy film Vishwambhara.
Directed by Bimbisara fame Vasishta, the shooting of Vishwambhara has already been completed. However, due to heavy VFX work, the film’s release has been delayed. Initially, it was planned for Sankranti 2025, but the graphics quality wasn’t satisfactory, so the team decided to rework it. Meanwhile, Chiranjeevi completed Mana Shankara Varaprasad Garu, which released during Sankranti 2026 and became a blockbuster. But fans are upset that Vishwambhara, completed much earlier, is still waiting for release. Producer Ajay Kumar from UV Creations recently said, “We took the feedback from the first teaser seriously and improved the VFX in the second teaser. Vishwambhara is a massive film. We’ll announce the release date only after completing all visual work. Fans need to be a little patient”.
According to trade sources, the team is aiming for the second week of July, most likely July 9, if all business deals are closed on time. If delayed, the film might be pushed to October.
The movie stars Trisha opposite Chiranjeevi, along with Ashika Ranganath, Isha Chawla, Surabhi Patnaik and Mouni Roy in key roles. Music is composed by Oscar-winner M.M. Keeravani. The initial budget was around ₹150 crore, but due to the VFX rework, costs have nearly doubled. With Pawan and Charan’s films now dated, Mega fans are eagerly waiting for Vishwambhara’s official release date, which is expected to be announced soon.
