Karthi’s next film with a Telugu director?

Director Vivek Athreya, who scored a hit with “Saripodha Sanivaram”, has generated curiosity about his next project. However, he has not confirmed anything officially. Reports suggest that actor Karthi is the frontrunner to star in Vivek’s next film.

During the promotional event of Karthi’s upcoming movie “Annagaru Ostaru”, he hinted at the collaboration:
“Vivek, we just met recently. I look forward to our next meeting,” Karthi said. Earlier, there were rumors that Vivek Athreya was in talks with Superstar Rajinikanth and then with Suriya. Now, it seems Karthi is showing interest in working with him.

Vivek Athreya is known for handling humor effectively, which suits Karthi’s style. He has already narrated a script to Karthi and discussions are ongoing. The project is expected to be finalized after a few more meetings. Karthi’s “Annagaru Ostaru” is set to release on December 12, 2025.
