Income Tax Searches at Rakul Preet Singh’s Home

The Income Tax Department has reportedly conducted simultaneous searches at 12 locations in Mumbai linked to actress Rakul Preet Singh, filmmaker Vashu Bhagnani and Panorama Studios. According to reports, the searches are part of an investigation into suspected financial irregularities involving funds allegedly sent overseas in connection with film projects. Officials are examining financial records, documents and details of overseas transactions as part of the ongoing probe.

The searches have created a buzz across the Hindi and Telugu film industries. Rakul Preet Singh’s brother Aman Preet Singh was also named by Hyderabad Police in a separate drug investigation in December 2025, after cocaine and MDMA were seized during an operation by the EAGLE Force and West Zone police. Police had identified him as a suspected consumer in that case. However, that earlier case is separate from the ongoing Income Tax searches, and the current tax investigation has not publicly established any wrongdoing by Rakul Preet Singh.
