The mythological superhero film Hanuman created a sensation at the box office by collecting over ₹300 crore worldwide. Now its sequel Jai Hanuman is becoming a hot topic in Tollywood. Directed by Prasanth Varma and starring Teja Sajja, the new film is being planned on a much bigger scale. The shooting recently began with special prayers at Anjanadri in Hampi, which has increased excitement around the project.
One of the biggest highlights of the sequel is Kannada star Rishab Shetty playing the role of Lord Hanuman. His first look from the film already created a strong response on social media. However, the main discussion now is about his remuneration deal. According to industry reports, he has been given two options: either take ₹20 crore plus 33 percent share in the film’s profits or accept a fixed ₹80 crore payment regardless of the film’s result.
Usually, star actors prefer a fixed payment for safety, but reports say Rishab Shetty may choose the profit-sharing option because he believes the film will become a huge success. Meanwhile, the producers are said to prefer the fixed payment option to reduce risk. The film is produced by Mythri Movie Makers and is part of the Prasanth Varma Cinematic Universe. There are also reports that Rana Daggubati might appear in an important role, while actors like Varalaxmi Sarathkumar and Samuthirakani are expected to play key roles. With its strong cast, mythological elements and large budget, the film is expected to become a major pan-India release.
