South Korean pop star PSY’s ‘Gangnam Style’ has achieved another remarkable milestone on YouTube. Released in 2012, the song became a global sensation and was the first YouTube video to cross the 1 billion view mark. It has now reportedly reached an incredible 6 billion views, 14 years after its release. The milestone has once again sparked interest in how much revenue the song may have generated.

According to figures circulating online, ‘Gangnam Style’ may have generated around $50 million, or approximately ₹470 crore, through its massive YouTube viewership. However, this figure has not been officially confirmed. The actual revenue is divided among YouTube, copyright holders, the artist and other stakeholders, so the amount earned by PSY personally would be different from the song’s overall estimated revenue.
