A major controversy has erupted in Bollywood after reports emerged that the Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE) imposed a non-cooperation directive against Ranveer Singh for allegedly backing out of Don 3 just three weeks before shooting was scheduled to begin. The sudden exit reportedly caused severe disruptions to the project, which is being directed by Farhan Akhtar.
FWICE Chief Advisor Ashoke Pandit claimed that the project suffered losses of nearly ₹45 crore due to Ranveer’s withdrawal after extensive pre-production planning had already been completed. The organization also stated that technicians, cameramen, and daily wage workers associated with the film were badly affected. According to the association, three notices seeking an explanation were allegedly ignored by the actor, forcing the union to take strict action. However, there has been no official response from Ranveer Singh regarding the controversy so far.
