The latest installment in the popular Drishyam franchise, Drishyam 3, starring Mohanlal and Meena, is directed by Jeethu Joseph and produced by Antony Perumbavoor under Ashirvad Cinemas. The film features a strong supporting cast including Ansiba Hassan, Esther Anil, Siddique, Asha Sharath, Murali Gopy and others. With a massive budget and high expectations, the film is one of the most anticipated crime dramas in Indian cinema. Reports suggest Amazon Prime Video has acquired the digital streaming rights for around ₹30 crore, while satellite rights were sold to Asianet for ₹15 crore.
However, the OTT release has faced legal and contractual complications after disputes between the producers and Amazon Prime Video reached court. The Delhi High Court reportedly ruled in favor of Amazon, leading to a temporary confusion over streaming rights. As per industry buzz, Drishyam 3 may begin streaming on OTT around the last week of June, after a 30–35 week theatrical window. An official confirmation from Amazon Prime is still awaited.
