Rocking star Yash’s latest film Toxic is set for a worldwide release on March 19. As this is his first movie after the KGF series, expectations are very high. The glimpses and teasers have already created strong buzz. The film has also become prestigious for leading Tollywood producer Dil Raju, who reportedly acquired the Telugu theatrical rights for a significant price.
The movie is directed by Geetu Mohandas and produced by Venkat K. Narayana and Yash under KVN Productions and Monster Mind Creations. The cast includes Rukmini Vasanth, Kiara Advani, Nayanthara, Huma Qureshi and Tara Sutaria as female leads. Key roles are played by Akshay Oberoi, Tovino Thomas and others. Music is composed by Ravi Basrur. With Ranveer Singh’s Dhurandhar 2 also releasing on the same day, discussions about the box office clash are growing.
Trade reports suggest that the pre-release business is strong. Overseas rights were reportedly secured by Phars Films, while the Telugu rights were acquired by Sri Venkateswara Creations. Dil Raju’s investment has become a hot topic in the industry. Buzz from Film Nagar says he is planning large-scale promotions, including a mega pre-release event in Hyderabad with a top Tollywood star as chief guest. However, official confirmation is still awaited.
