Kantara star Yash’s Toxic, directed by Geetu Mohandas, was one of the most anticipated films. Dil Raju released the film across the Telugu states, and reports earlier claimed that he acquired its Telugu theatrical rights for more than Rs.100 crore. However, the film reportedly failed to receive the expected response after its release, raising concerns over the distributor’s investment and the possibility of heavy losses.
According to the latest reports, Dil Raju may have acquired the film under a refundable advance arrangement. It is reportedly agreed that if the movie fails to perform as expected, the advance amount would be returned within 45 days by KVN Productions and Yash. Similar terms are said to have been agreed upon with distributors who acquired the Telugu rights from Dil Raju. If these reports are accurate, the financial burden could fall on the producers and Yash rather than Dil Raju.
