Today, the sequel to the popular spy action thriller Dhurandhar is creating strong buzz across the country. While premieres were held nationwide, Telugu premieres were cancelled due to print delays, and regular shows are now starting. The director has asked audiences not to reveal any twists and to watch till the end, which is increasing curiosity. Along with this hype, the remuneration details of the cast are also going viral today.
Both parts of Dhurandhar were shot together, unlike many pan-India films, and actors were paid in a combined deal. Ranveer Singh, who played Hamza Ali and Jaskirat Singh, reportedly received the highest pay of around ₹40–50 crores. Akshaye Khanna earned about ₹5 crores for the Rahman Dacoit role, which will appear again in flashback scenes in the sequel. Sanjay Dutt reportedly received around ₹10 crores, while R. Madhavan got ₹9 crores for playing IB chief Ajay Sanyal. Arjun Rampal and Sara Arjun are said to have received about ₹1 crore each. There is no clear information about Aditya Dhar’s remuneration, but his brand value has increased significantly.
The story focuses on stopping terrorist attacks on India. Ajay Sanyal launches Operation Dhurandhar and sends a young prisoner as agent Hamza into Pakistan. Starting from a small job, he rises to become close to gangster Rahman Dacoit. The sequel now shows how Hamza becomes a powerful don and eliminates the remaining terrorists.
