New details are emerging every day about “Raja Saab,” the film produced under the Prabhas–People’s Media Factory combination. The latest buzz doing the rounds in the industry revolves around an interesting piece of gossip related to comedian Prabhas Srinu’s role in the film. Prabhas Srinu is well known to be one of actor Prabhas’s close associates. However, reports suggest that the makers initially considered popular Tamil comedian Yogi Babu for this role in Raja Saab. It is said that Yogi Babu had even given his consent. Subsequently, director Maruthi reportedly had a change of mind and finalized Prabhas Srinu for the role instead.
While things initially progressed smoothly, sources claim that after a portion of the shoot was completed, actor Prabhas became dissatisfied with Prabhas Srinu’s performance. Following this, a decision was taken to replace him, and another comedian was brought in, leading to a reshoot of all the scenes filmed earlier.
However, shortly thereafter, Prabhas is said to have reconsidered the decision and called the director to inform him that Prabhas Srinu’s family members were distressed by the development. Reportedly, Prabhas suggested retaining Prabhas Srinu in the film, prompting yet another reshoot of the same scenes. Industry sources indicate that this entire process resulted in significant additional expenditure for the producers.
In addition to this, it is also being reported that the film’s heroines underwent multiple photo shoots. These were conducted by well-known photographers from Mumbai, with each session reportedly costing several lakhs of rupees. Overall, industry circles are discussing these instances as just a few examples highlighting how substantial amounts of money were spent and allegedly wasted during the production of Raja Saab.
