Acclaimed filmmaker Christopher Nolan has reportedly wrapped up principal photography for his upcoming film The Odyssey within just a few months, completing production across multiple international locations. Starring Matt Damon, the film is based on the ancient Greek epic and is among Hollywood's most anticipated releases of 2026.
In contrast, Indian filmmaker S.S. Rajamouli is reportedly following an extended production schedule for his ambitious upcoming project, widely referred to as Varanasi in media reports. Starring Mahesh Babu and Priyanka Chopra, the film is said to blend Indian mythology with science fiction while spanning multiple timelines and global locations, from Africa to Antarctica. The project has attracted significant international attention, with reports claiming it will be the first Indian film to be shot entirely in the 1.43:1 IMAX format. However, several production details have not yet been officially confirmed by the makers.
