

According to the buzz in the industry, Bollywood filmmakers are reportedly planning a Hindi remake of the blockbuster film “Arundhati.” Director Mohan Raja, known for Thani Oruvan and God Father, has been chosen to helm this project. The original Telugu version, directed by the legendary Kodi Ramakrishna, is now said to be getting a modern makeover with high technical standards in Hindi.
The film will reportedly be produced by Geetha Arts, and the script work is almost complete, with the main cast finalization currently in its last stage.
Sreeleela as Jejamma!
In the Telugu version, the iconic role of Arundhati (Jejamma) was portrayed by Anushka Shetty. For the Hindi remake, Tollywood’s young and talented star Sreeleela is being considered for the same role. Producers reportedly believe she fits perfectly due to her exceptional dancing skills and screen presence, which could help bring her closer to the legacy of Anushka’s performance.
However, social media reactions are mixed while some fans say, “Anushka’s Jejamma is legendary, no one can recreate it,” others believe, “If given a chance, Sreeleela can surprise everyone with her acting.”
Sonu Sood as Pasupathi?
In the original Telugu film, the Pasupathi character was one of the main highlights actor Sonu Sood terrified audiences with his brilliant performance. Now, reports suggest that he will reprise the same role in the Hindi remake as well. Given his proven skill in playing negative roles, many in the film industry feel this casting choice is absolutely perfect.
