Director Sandeep Reddy Vanga has created a strong identity with films like Arjun Reddy, Kabir Singh and Animal. He is currently working on Spirit with Prabhas, which has already generated huge expectations. During a special screening of Animal in Japan, Vanga revealed in a virtual press conference that the sequel Animal Park will begin shooting around mid-2027, after the completion of Spirit.
Explaining the concept, Vanga said that while Animal showed one powerful character, Animal Park will introduce many such intense personalities. The core story revolves around a brutal conflict between two look-alike brothers, Ranvijay Singh and Aziz Haq. This idea inspired the title Animal Park. The film is expected to be more aggressive and emotionally charged than the first part. Ranbir Kapoor will play a double role, portraying both the hero and the villain, making the film high on action and drama.
Animal was a massive box office success, earning over ₹900 crore and making a strong impact despite criticism for its dark themes. Sandeep Reddy Vanga is now fully focused on Spirit and plans to start Animal Park after completing its script and pre-production. Industry reports suggest shooting may begin in June or July 2027. With Ranbir’s double role, darker storytelling and Vanga’s intense direction, Animal Park is expected to become one of the biggest and most talked-about sequels in Indian cinema.
