The much-discussed multistarrer featuring Naga Chaitanya and Akhil Akkineni has reportedly been put on hold. The project, which was expected to be directed by Kalyan Krishna, had generated considerable excitement among Akkineni fans, especially after reports suggested that Nagarjuna Akkineni was keen on bringing his sons together on screen. Industry sources indicate that several story discussions had taken place before a final script was prepared.
However, according to reports, both Naga Chaitanya and Akhil were not completely satisfied with the final version of the script, leading to the project being temporarily shelved. As there has been no official announcement from the makers, the reported development remains unconfirmed. Meanwhile, Naga Chaitanya is said to be focusing on Dhootha 2, a project with director Karthik Dandu (reported as "Clax" in some discussions), and another horror film, while Akhil is reportedly evaluating new scripts. Nagarjuna is also expected to complete the release formalities of King 100 before announcing his next project after the Dasara season.
