Sanjay Dutt and Namashi Chakraborty starrer Aakhri Sawal has reportedly been banned in the United Arab Emirates shortly after its release in India on May 15. According to reports, the UAE censor board sought multiple cuts due to the film’s alleged RSS-related content. However, the filmmakers reportedly refused to implement the suggested edits, resulting in the movie not receiving clearance for release in the country.
The film, said to be inspired by 100 years of RSS history, had already sparked debate online before its release. While some social media users described the film as propaganda, Namashi Chakraborty defended the project, stating that audiences should watch the film before forming opinions. He added that the movie encourages viewers to think independently rather than blindly follow narratives.
