Director Prashanth Varma became a star filmmaker after the huge success of Hanuman. He later announced his next film Jai Hanuman, but the movie’s shooting has not started even after a long time. Earlier, there were talks about him making a film with Balakrishna’s son, but that project did not take shape. Now, Prashanth Varma has selected Kannada actor Rishab Shetty to play the role of Hanuman in Jai Hanuman.
However, even after the announcement, the shoot has not begun. The reason is said to be Prashanth Varma’s involvement in setting up multiple projects and focusing more on the production side. Meanwhile, Rishab Shetty, who gained massive popularity after Kantara, reportedly told Prashanth Varma that he would give only three months to complete his part. If the shooting is not finished within that time, he may step away from the project. As Rishab Shetty is now busy as both a director and a hero, he does not want to waste his time.
There are also reports that the shooting of Jai Hanuman has recently started, though there is no clear confirmation. Still, it is believed that Rishab Shetty’s portions must be completed within the next three to four months. Some fans and critics feel that Prashanth Varma should focus fully on directing films and use his success wisely, instead of getting delayed by handling too many things at once.
