A major political development unfolded on Thursday after 15 MLAs belonging to All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam arrived at a private luxury beach resort in the Thavalakuppam area near Puducherry. According to reports, the legislators were brought to the resort under the leadership of former minister C. V. Shanmugam. The sudden movement of the MLAs has triggered intense political speculation across Tamil Nadu, especially at a time when coalition discussions are dominating the state’s political landscape.
The development gains significance as it comes shortly after C.V. Shanmugam reportedly advocated extending support to Vijay, who is currently attempting to secure the required majority to form the government in Tamil Nadu. Political observers believe the relocation of AIADMK MLAs to Puducherry could indicate ongoing internal consultations or strategic discussions regarding future political alignments. However, no official statement has yet been issued by the AIADMK leadership regarding the purpose of the stay at the resort.
