The YSRCP has written a letter to the Election Commissioner, urging the authorities to take steps to ensure that genuine voters do not face difficulties during the voter verification process. The party sought clarity over notices reportedly being issued in the name of mapping and unmatched records.
The party pointed out that many genuine voters have temporarily moved to other places for education and employment. It requested the Election Commission to issue specific directions regarding voter verification and ensure that such voters are not unfairly affected. The YSRCP also urged the authorities to involve Booth Level Officers (BLOs) in the process and take steps to safeguard the voting rights of genuine voters.
