A 20-year-old student, Surendra Singh Chaudhary, popularly known on social media as ‘Bittu Tabahi’, has drawn attention for his efforts to clean a river and its banks in Rajgarh district of Madhya Pradesh. After working alone for months to remove waste from the area, he was disappointed to see the surroundings become littered with plastic bags and other garbage again within a few weeks. Hoping to prevent people from dumping waste directly into the river, he placed two large garbage drums under a tree along the riverbank so visitors could dispose of their rubbish responsibly.
However, when Chaudhary returned to check the area, he discovered that one of the two dustbins he had installed was missing. The incident has sparked reactions on social media, with users expressing disappointment over the apparent disregard for cleanliness and the effort put into protecting the river. His initiative highlights the challenges faced by individuals trying to maintain public spaces and the importance of responsible waste disposal. The circumstances surrounding the missing dustbin have not been independently confirmed.
