Telangana Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla called upon young engineers to become job creators and innovators who contribute to nation-building instead of merely seeking employment. Addressing the 6th Convocation Ceremony of Chaitanya Bharathi Institute of Technology (CBIT) at Gandipet on Tuesday, the Governor congratulated the graduating students of 2026 and said a convocation marks not only the awarding of degrees but also the beginning of a greater responsibility towards shaping the nation's future under the vision of Viksit Bharat 2047.
Highlighting Telangana's emergence as a global hub for technology, research, startups, and industry, the Governor said Hyderabad offers immense opportunities in sectors such as information technology, aerospace, and biopharmaceuticals. He urged students to embrace lifelong learning, uphold ethics and discipline, and prepare for emerging fields including artificial intelligence, robotics, space technology, and green energy. He also appealed to the youth to stay away from drugs, support the vision of a Drug-Free India (Nasha Mukt Bharat), and dedicate themselves to serving society while honouring the sacrifices of parents and teachers.
