Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams Executive Officer M. Ravichandra stated that yoga practice significantly contributes to mental peace, physical fitness, and holistic development. He chaired a review meeting at the Sudharma meeting hall in Sri Padmavati Guest House, Tirumala, regarding the International Yoga Day celebrations scheduled for June 21.
He instructed officials to conduct yoga awareness and special training programs daily from June 7 to June 21 under TTD’s supervision. He emphasized that yoga helps reduce stress and anxiety while promoting personality development and a healthy lifestyle for all age groups.
He also directed that the International Yoga Day be organized in coordination with institutions such as the Isha Foundation, Patanjali Yogpeeth, Ramachandra Mission, Brahma Kumaris, and TTD SV Ayurveda Hospital. Special yoga training should be extended to employees, students, youth, senior citizens, and hospital patients, making it a continuous initiative rather than a one-day event. The main event will be held at 6 AM on June 21 at the Parade Grounds of the TTD Administrative Building in Tirupati, followed by a large awareness rally.
