

Addressing women entrepreneurs at the FICCI Ladies Organisation meeting, Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy highlighted several initiatives aimed at strengthening women’s empowerment. He stated that the support of women played a key role in the formation of the people’s government in December 2023. The Chief Minister announced that Indira Mahila Shakti Bhavans are being constructed in 22 district headquarters to serve as centres for training, marketing, and business development. He also revealed that land worth around Rs. 1,000 crore near Shilparamam has been allocated for the Indira Mahila Shakti Bazaar to promote rural handicrafts and traditional products.
CM Revanth Reddy said that 67 lakh women self-help groups in Telangana have received loans worth Rs. 16,000 crore. He announced plans to connect women’s products with global markets through platforms like Amazon. The government is also empowering women groups by assigning responsibilities such as generating 1,000 MW of solar power, managing 27,000 government schools, and stitching uniforms for students. He reiterated the goal of transforming Telangana into a one trillion-dollar economy by 2034 and assured continuous support for women entrepreneurs through regular meetings and initiatives.
