BRS leader Harish Rao has strongly criticised the Congress government over the inclusion of residential properties in the 22A prohibited list under the Urban Land Ceiling provisions. He said nearly 1,500 families have been living in houses located in Survey Nos. 215 and 215-part for around 30 years without any disputes.
Harish Rao alleged that residents are facing severe distress after discovering that their properties have been placed under prohibition when they approach registration offices to sell their homes during financial difficulties. He further alleged that artificial disputes are being created over legally registered properties to pressure residents and collect commissions.
He questioned Chief Minister Revanth Reddy over the issue and urged the government to immediately remove the affected colonies from the 22A prohibited list. Harish Rao assured residents that the BRS would stand by the affected families and protect their property rights. He warned that the party would launch a large-scale protest if the government failed to address their concerns.
