The India Meteorological Department has forecast widespread rainfall across Andhra Pradesh for the next seven days due to a low-pressure system persisting over the northwest Bay of Bengal. Weather officials have warned that the system is likely to intensify further over the next 48 hours, leading to increased rainfall activity across several parts of the state.
A No. 3 danger signal has been issued for all ports from Kalingapatnam to Machilipatnam as a precautionary measure. Heavy rainfall is expected over the next 24 hours in Alluri Sitarama Raju, East Godavari, and Eluru districts. Authorities have advised residents, fishermen, and coastal communities to remain alert and follow official weather advisories.
